Using the Numerical Keys to Save Custom Presets
Youcanalsousethenumericalkeystosaveandloadcustompresets,asdescribedin
Section 2.5.EachpresetsavesthecurrentstateofallPRM‐4200parameters.Youcan
configuremanyoftheseparametersusingtheRemote
EDITandSYSTEMmenus.Formore
informationonconfiguringtheseparameters,seeSection 2.3andSection 2.4.
2.2.6 Brightness and Contrast Controls
TheBRIGHTNESScontrolsetstheblacklevel.Itaddsorsubtractsanoffsetinthered,green,
andbluechannels.Whenadjustingthiscontrol,theblackpicturecontentshouldappearas
trueblackonthePRM‐4200
.Aftersettingthebrightnesscorrectly,youshouldsetthe
contrastforcomfortableviewingbrightness.
The
CONTRAST controlsetsthewhitelevel.Itappliesascalefactor(gain)tothered,green,
andbluechannels.Thisaffectstheluminance(proportionaltointensity)thatthesystem
reproducesforafullwhiteinputsignal.
Youcanlock the
BRIGHTNESSandCONTRASTcontrolknobsby pressingtheB/C LOCKkey
intheControlareaontheRemote.Thislockpreventsaccidentalchangestothesettings.
The
B/C LOCK keyilluminatesinyellowwhenactivated.
The
BRIGHTNESSandCONTRASTcontrolknobshavededicatedblueLEDs.Therespective
LEDilluminateswhenyouturnaknoboutofthedefaultcenterdetentposition.TheLED
isoffwhenaknobisinthecenterdetentposition.
2.2.7 Ethernet Port
TheRemotehasoneRJ45portforconnectingtothePRM‐4200viaadedicated
point‐to‐pointnetworkconnection.TheRemotecommunicateswiththePRM‐4200
throughthis10/100Base‐TconnectionusingtheprovidedCat.5etwisted‐paircable.The
transportandnetworklaye rsareTCP/IP.TheRemoteIPaddressiss
taticallyconfiguredat
thefactory;nouserinterventionisrequiredfortheRemotetocommunicatewiththe
PRM‐4200.
